Distinguished experts and thought leaders discuss the future of the Australian space sector, with a key focus on the role of space in ensuring Australia's national and economic security. Southern Space is where key decision makers from government, defence, and industry come together to explore global challenges and opportunities, positioning space as a key driver for a more secure and prosperous future. This event highlights how the space domain ensures a secure, resilient, and prosperous world by discussing key challenges and opportunities unique to our current era. Meet the Astronaut events include Katherine Bennell-Pegg, the first person qualified as an astronaut under the Australian flag, representing the Australian Space Agency. Passionate about STEM education and inspiring young people into space-related careers, Katherine will attend the 2025 Avalon Australian International Airshow SIAA Southern Space Conference, and Careers Day as a panel member and speaker. There were also special fund-raising events to meet NASA Astronaut Col. Michael Bloomfield Pilot and Commander STS-86, STS-97 and STS-10, and US-Air Force F-15 fighter pilot and F-16 test pilor, served as an Ambassador for the Endeavour Scholarship and board director at Space Centre Houston.
